Giving birth back home
Childbirth is a tremendous physical and mental work for a woman. It is mentally and physically very difficult for a woman to tackle this huge task alone. Returning to one's hometown to give birth can greatly ease this burden. Especially in the last trimester of pregnancy and the immediate postpartum period, mothers often have their hands full just taking care of themselves. It is important for the mother to make room for the baby and for her own health.
Relieve pain anxiety
Labor with little pain
For pregnant women, the pain of labor is incredibly intense. In some cases, the pain is so intense that it can adversely affect the health of the mother. If this happens, it can have a cascading effect on the fetus.
On the other hand, there is a risk that the birth itself will stop if the pain of labor is eliminated by a painless labor method.
At Megumi Clinic, we use a "labor with little pain" method in which the pain is reduced by anesthesia while still allowing light labor pains to be felt, in order to ensure that the birth is completed.
FAQ
This is my first time to see a doctor, what is the procedure?
Please make an appointment if at all possible. (Appointments can only be made by phone. Please call between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.).
If you come to the clinic in person, we may not be able to treat you on the same day depending on how busy the clinic is. Please understand this in advance.The initial consultation will take some time to complete the interview and examination, so please come as early as possible (before 11:00 in the morning, or before 4:00 in the afternoon). Also, for infertility consultations, please be sure to come on a day when the director is available.
Can I see a doctor during menstruation?
For uterine cancer screening, it is best to avoid this as much as possible. However, cell test methods have changed and some municipalities allow testing even if there is bleeding. If you are in doubt, please contact us. There is no problem during a normal examination, but if you are uncomfortable with internal examinations during periods of heavy bleeding, it is best to avoid them.
Are there any days when female doctors are available?
Monday mornings and Wednesday mornings are the days for female doctors.

Can I attended birth?
Only one person is allowed. If you wish, you must attend the Parent Salon (or Doctor Salon) as a pair. Although older children cannot be present, they may stay in the LDR room with their family members until they are positioned for childbirth.
